The Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association (District 5)  has elected Rob Marshall, ATC to serve as the next District Director.  Rob is Athletic Training Program Manager at Columbus Community Hospital, serving as the athletic trainer for several local high schools.  Rob has strong enthusiasm for the position and the opportunity to serve the athletic trainers in our District.  ” It is definitely and exciting time for Athletic Training profession and the opportunities for our members to become involved and have an impact at all levels exist like never before.  Over the next five to ten years our state, district and national organizations will go through many challenges and changes.  I am honored to serve the membership in facing these challenges, as your District V Director.”

Rob has been a member of the NATA since 1995.  He is well prepared for the role of District Director and brings a wealth of experience, including having served as the President of NSATA, District 5 secretary, and the District representative for NATAPAC.  Current District 5 President, Michelle Boyd, believes Rob will be a strong representative for the District.  “Rob has a passion for the profession that is unparalleled.  He listens intently and is doesn’t hesitate to speak up when needed.  Our District is well represented.”  Rob will begin attending NATA Board meeting in June of 2019, and will assume the role of District Director in June of 2020.

Thank you to all the members who voted in this election.  There were more votes in this election than any in District history.  It is exciting to see the membership taking an active role in selecting the leaders.
