NATA Leadership Institute
MAATA Tuition Award
The Mid America Athletic Trainers’ Association is providing partial funding for two members to participate in the NATA Leadership Institute, annually. This initiative is consistent with the MAATA mission to enhance professional development and leadership abilities of our members.
This is a competitive award; there is not a guarantee that applicants will be funded for registration. This application is for the 2027-28 cycle, with registration December 2026. The 12-month program begins in June 2027. Please review the program requirements and timeline to ensure your ability to complete the program prior to making your application to the MAATA Tuition Award for the NATA Leadership Institute. Applicants must be a professional member of MAATA and have a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number. The application includes:
- A copy of a current resume or CV
- A letter of application with explicit professional goals related to the Leadership Institute and your professional development path. The letter should also address:
- How you anticipate this program experience, combined with your existing qualities and skills, enhancing your professional growth.
- How your participation in this program help MAATA fulfill its mission and move our organization forward
- Description or illustration of an experience that allowed you to demonstrate leadership ability and/or potential.
The application deadline for a full review is 5pm on October 16, 2026. Please submit all application materials to: applications@maatad5.org
Recipients will be notified by December 5th.
Expectations for award recipients:
- Full participation and completion of the Leadership Institute programming
- Attendance at designated NATA Annual Meeting (a component of the Institute)
- Upon completion of the program, deliver a report to the Board of Directors regarding progress on goals and next steps
